Helmut Wirtz, Magma Custom Boards owner and shaper, is working closely with Abel Cathelineau and Eric Terrien to shape and developpe the best Stand Up Paddle Boards.
Eric Terrien's custom boards and the prototypes that has been used by Nidecker (the swiss brand leader in the snowboard industry) to produce the new 12'6 SUP "All Water Race" are all designed and hand shaped by the team Helmut Wirtz/Abel Cathelineau in the Magma Custom Boards Factory, Fuerteventura.
On those boards, Eric won most of the races and wave contests he took part in, his best achievement are including :

Design und Style

Belway Paddle paddle sind handgefertigte Unikate mit dem klassischen Style und der Innovation von Magma. Für den Schaft verwenden wir Esche und Sapeli. In der Kombination der beiden Hölzer ergibt sich ein einmaliges Design mit den gewünschten Eigenschaften für Flex- und Rückstellkräfte. Die Schäfte werden aus 3 bis 7 Streifen Holz mit Epoxydharz verpresst.

Griff

Die Griffe sind für einen optimalen Halt ergonomisch geformt und liegen perfekt in der Hand.

Wir fertigen den Schaft in 2 Versionen:

Gerade Form
Die gerade Version zeichnet sich aus durch einfaches Handling und gute Allround- Eigenschaften aus.

Die S - Form für optimale Performance und Power.
Die gekrümmte Form nutzt die Eigenschaften eines Bogens.

paddle Blatt

Das paddle - Blatt wird aus stabverleimten Paulowinaholz gefertigt. Das Ergebnis ist eine hohe Flexibilität bei sehr geringem Gewicht. Die paddle - Blätter können auf Wunsch gegen Aufpreis mit einer PVC - Kante als Schutz gegen Grund- und Steinberührung  verstärkt werden.
Jedes Belway Paddle wird komplett mit Glasfaser und Epoxydharz laminiert und anschließend mit Zweikomponenten Acryllack Hochglanz versiegelt. Die Verbindung von Blatt und Schaft wird gegen Bruch extra mit Glasfaser verstärkt.

individuell gefertigt

Jedes Belway Paddle wird individuell auf Körpergröße, Gewicht und Kraft angefertigt, die Länge des Schaftes in Abhängigkeit der Körpergröße und die Größe des Blattes in cm² in Abhängigkeit der Kraft kann das jeweilig optimale paddle gefertigt werden. So wählen Frauen in der Regel ein kleineres paddle – Blatt als Männer.
